Feng Shui Quiz for Attracting a New Relationship:

How Does Your Bedroom Score?

Please answer “yes” or “no” to the following questions:

  1. Is there a nightstand and adequate lighting on both sides of your bed?
  2. As you enter the room, do you see clutter or disorganization in the far right-hand corner of the room?
  3. Do you have any artwork featuring a solitary woman (or a solitary man if you are a man)?
  4. Is there some empty space in your closet and drawers?
  5. Do you have gifts from past relationships prominently displayed?
  6. Do you have any decorative objects in groups of two or more (e.g., a pair of candles, two chairs, flower arrangements)?

See the information below to score your quiz and learn more about your responses.

Score each question as follows:

  1. yes = 1             no = 0              A nightstand and lighting on both sides of the bed indicates an interest in creating a mutually supportive relationship.  This is an easy change to make if you answered “no.”
  2. yes = 0             no = 1              The far right-hand corner of a room is associated with relationships.  Clutter or a disorganized space indicates a block or haphazard approach to creating a new relationship.  Clean up the area to allow someone new to enter your life!
  3. yes = 0             no = 1              Artwork of a solitary person may indicate that you are content being single.  Replace it with a picture of a couple, or items in groups of two (e.g., pair of candles, pair of turtledoves) to encourage new possibilities.
  4. yes = 1             no = 0              If you have no empty closet or drawer space, you may not be ready to share your life with another.  Make some room and you will make room for another person!
  5. yes = 0             no = 1              Items from a former relationship can keep you locked in the past.  If possible, give them away or donate them.  Minimally, remove them from the bedroom.
  6. yes = 1             no = 0              Grouping items acts as a powerful symbol for attracting a new relationship.  This reinforces your intent to yourself and the universe.

Total your points for your overall score.

5 – 6 points:  Your bedroom is very supportive and indicates that your heart is open and ready for a new relationship.  You are set up for Mr. or Ms. Right to enter!

3 – 4 points:  Your bedroom has some supportive attributes but could signal some ambivalence about a new relationship.  Implement a few of the suggested ideas to improve your chances of meeting someone new.

1 – 2 points:  Your bedroom is not as supportive as it could be.  This indicates that you may not be ready for a new relationship, and if you become involved, it may not last.   If you are truly ready for someone new to enter your life, make some of the suggested changes and see who enters your life!
